Never before in our history has father absence been such an important issue. There is an alarming increase in the pattern where not only is the father away from home, but he has little, if any, contact with his children. This fatherhood gap has a high correlation with many of the social ills and negative behavior faced by our society. The Boys’ Club of New York’s fatherhood initiative is designed to address some of the issues related to fatherhood.
