The Explorers Department is the gathering place where boys 6 to 9 years of age meet their friends to play pool, ping-pong, table soccer, chess, checkers and other low organization games. This is also the area in which the boys are introduced to competitive programs. Here the boys develop character, leadership, sportsmanship and motivation. Through the annual awards ceremony, the idea of longer-term gratification is introduced. Non-competitive activities are also offered.
