The Boys' Club of New York believes that the arts are essential for meaningful and purposeful learning and living in the world. It has an extensive history of Music, Drama, Painting, Crafts and Photography programs for all ages.

The development of the Media Center* demonstrates BCNY's further commitment to education through the arts. In this new, 'state of the art' Center, members are afforded the opportunity to learn photography, digital video production, digital imaging, and graphic arts. They will be introduced to new technologies. For example, they will be able to create photographs traditionally in the darkroom or print them on a professional grade quality inkjet printer. Computers are available for digital arts and offer the same setup that one would find in the most professional studios of New York.

Students in the Media Center are encouraged to incorporate their own unique experiences into their work. The courses help them learn the skills necessary to communicate clearly and effectively. Through critiques and exhibitions, students learn from each other's triumphs and failures, growing in self confidence.
