When I look back at my experiences with BCNY during my formative years, it is clear to me today that the skills I learned helped shape any success I have had. Like today’s members, I was involved with a diverse group of people and a wide range of activities—all while being mentored by a devoted staff.
The programs teach confidence, self-awareness, empathy, responsibility, collaboration, and leadership—what some would call ‘Emotional Intelligence’—and always complement academic achievement. That’s why BCNY has endured 134 years and will continue for generations to come.
