The Abbe Playhouse has been one of the core programs under the Cultural Arts Department at Abbe Clubhouse for over 3 years. The program primarily runs from the Fall cycle through the Winter cycle with a bigger production, “Abbe Playhouse Dinner Theater,” in early April. For the next Spring cycle production, The Cultural Arts Department will be working with both new and present members on acting techniques like improvisation, brainstorming ideas for plays and short scenes, and working on writing techniques such as playwriting and scene writing. Currently, the Cultural Arts Department is considering interpreting a Greek tragedy as their next play, so stay tuned for more information on the next theatrical exploration from the Abbe Playhouse!
