The Harriman Clubhouse was the site of the 2011 Spring Olympics! Members represented six different countries: Egypt, Brazil, Norway, Italy, Japan, and Cuba from April 18th through April 22nd
The team countries, led by their team ambassadors, competed furiously for the coveted gold, silver, and bronze medals. With each win a country earned points towards the overall championship. From the start at the Opening Ceremony, teams competed in various activities. Members showed their skills in the swimming pool, their toughness in the gymnasium, brains in the academic realm, and their blood, sweat, and tears during the track and field events. After four days of competition, members were recognized during the medal ceremony for their individual efforts and then the highly anticipated overall winner was announced after a five minute drum roll--Brazil was declared the 20ll Spring Olympic Champion! After the medal ceremony, all the teams were treated to an international ice cream party for their participation in the spring olympics. The buzz around the clubhouse is who will win the 2012 Spring Olympics...
