BCNY’s staff and members worked together to identify 12 positive character-inspiring words or phrases. Starting with six traditional traits, members were asked to put them in their own words, which are listed below.
These words—both the root words and the members’ interpretations—are studied, discussed, and integrated in clubhouse programming, through art projects, leadership training, academic support, and even team sports.
