Dear Parents/ Guardians,
As the summer ends and we head into the new fall program season, I want to highlight all that The Boys’ Club’s Harriman Clubhouse has to offer and to note several of our recent accomplishments.
Harriman has forged wonderful partnerships with several local elementary schools and programs. These relationships have yielded increased membership as well as additional resources for our members. Our staff has always hailed from various backgrounds, but we have also broadened the diversity of our membership. We are proud to say that our population now reflects the richness of the Lower East Side community.
The range of our programming has also increased. Harriman offers a myriad of after school activities: Homework Help; AdventuREAD (literacy); Educational Clubs (math and science); Tutoring; SSAT and SAT prep; Swim, Basketball and Baseball Teams; a Media Arts Center (animation and photography); and Music Lessons in instruments and voice. Our program hours are 3:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. for Explorer members ages 6-9 and 3:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. for Juniors ages 10-13 and Seniors ages 14-20. Dinner is provided each day.
Not only will we keep your child challenged and entertained, but our professional and caring staff will also provide him with invaluable role models. At Harriman, your child will always be happy and safe. It is my hope that someday these boys will look back and remember those of us who played a small but vital part in their lives.
We welcome parents of both current and future members to stop by and see the Harriman facilities and meet our staff. Come in and register your son between the hours of 12:00-7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
It has been a pleasure to serve you and your son(s) during the past two years as Clubhouse Director and I look forward to seeing our returning members and their families and personally greeting our new members and their families. Thank you for being a part of our Harriman Family!
Sincerely,

Shay Gattis
Clubhouse Director
