In the summer of 1983, Camp Cromwell opened its doors for the very first time, welcoming 300 boys for a summer of fun and learning. The 110-acre campground features many forest trails and nature walks, an indoor gymnasium, and five full basketball courts. It also includes two swimming pools, a water slide, a volleyball court, a baseball field, and a challenging ropes course. The camp buildings include a performing arts center, 12 classrooms, a science lab, six air-conditioned cabins, a fully-equipped kitchen and dining hall, administration buildings and an infirmary.
Camp Cromwell is a destination for every BCNY member during the summer, but it is also home to our Robert M. Gardiner School , a comprehensive six week residential program providing academic enrichment and leadership development for boys entering the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.
