Since 1985, BCNY's Department of Educational Services and Summer Programs has been responsible for administering BCNY's The Camp Cromwell School at Camp Cromwell in Bound Brook , New Jersey . The residential summer school provides over 100 rising sixth, seventh and eighth grade boys with the opportunity to increase their English, math, science, social studies, Chinese Spanish and study skills while promoting greater confidence and a strong self-image in each of the participants. A particular emphasis is placed on enhancing study skills and learning patterns through reading, writing, experimentation and oral expression.

Participants are required to meet with BCNY staff during the academic year to review their progress and to address specific concerns as they surface. It is a three-year program designed to guide participants through their junior high school years, and to then facilitate an appropriate secondary school placement. Program retention and graduation rates have consistently been well over 90%.
