Office
of Special Events
Under the support and guidance of the Women's Board, the Office
of Special Events raises significant funds by organizing a variety
of events such as dances, dinners, theater benefits, fashion shows,
luncheons, receptions, junior parties, bi-annual raffles and auctions.
Additionally, our goal is to both encourage new people and energize
current supporters to become more involved with The Boys' Club,
thereby broadening and strengthening our donor base...because our
children matter.

All Sports Hall of Fame Dinner
Begun in 1976 as a sincere salute to those great sports figures
who have a special place in our memories, The Boys' Club of New
York's All Sports Hall of Fame Dinner is the premier Sports Dinner
in the country. Each year, The Boys’ Club of New York honors
the achievements of the best in sport with the induction into its
All Sports Hall of Fame of candidates from the world of sports executives,
athletes, educators, administrators, broadcasters, journalists and
recent inductees into the Baseball, Basketball, Pro Football, Hockey,
Tennis and Golf Halls of Fame. Candidates are individuals who have
recognized the importance of sports in contemporary American society
and its influence on children as a vehicle to promote and develop
character, community and civility. Inductees are honored at BCNY’s
annual dinner and induction ceremony traditionally held at The Waldorf-Astoria
Hotel and attended by more than 80 sports celebrities and Hall of
Famers and over 1,000 business, community and sports leaders. A
highlight of the evening is the introduction of each of these sports
celebrities in the audience as they stand in the spotlight and acknowledge
the applause of their fans.
