We know that everyone has something special to give and a unique perspective to bring. It may be an expertise in a particular subject or field. It may be an interest in financial literacy or character development. Or it may be a strongdrive to do more and give back to a city that has given so much.
No matter what that ‘something’ is, volunteering helps sustain a life-long culture of caring, sharing ,and empowering, and has been integral to BCNY's success.
Our volunteers at the Boys’ Club come from a host of places, fields, and experiences. It is that diversity paired with their strong commitment that makes them integral to our organization and the lives of our boys.
Volunteers work side by side with our staff to provide our boys with engaging and effective programs.
Are you bilingual? Care about the arts? Enjoy sports? Want to share a skill or just talk over a game of ping-pong? There is a place for you at BCNY.
Come join dozens of volunteers at BCNY to empower boys and young men by providing effective programs and a supportive community.
Make a Difference
- Over 2,400 BCNY members have benefitted from the invaluable time and skills donated through over 2,500 volunteer service hours and counting.
- Volunteer efforts were able to revive the beloved ‘Group Club’ program through trivia, sports, and competitions and encouraging the practice of sportsmanship and leadership.
- Volunteers led ‘Money Think’, a financial literacy program that taught high school-aged members to make sound money management decisions throughout their life.
Volunteering for as little as one or two hours a week can make a huge difference in the life of our members. It can also provide you with opportunities to build your resume and learn more about yourself, all while giving back to your community.
