Youth Council

Youth Council provides an opportunity for members to learn about the election process and create pathways for meaningful change within the clubhouses. Each clubhouse has a Council of six peer-elected officers: President and Vice President (both elected from the Teen Center), two Junior Representatives, and two Explorer Representatives. The Youth Council’s main responsibility is ensuring that the voices of their peers are represented and acted on by BCNY staff. The Youth Council allows members to become active participants in their clubhouses and helps members identify leadership qualities in themselves and peers. Each age-group department also elects a council of their peers to represent their voice and opinion in game room related decisions.
